Semi-Final Saturday at Amsoil Arena, will it sell out?

Post by BeerBearsDotCom »

Games are at Noon and 2:30. The lobby in past years as began to fill up as early as 9:00 AM. Game 1 will be Duluth East vs. Elk River or Forest Lake, Game 2 Grand Rapids vs Cloquet. There is the Lake Superior Family Fun Fest and Blake Shelton concert same day at the DECC. Invite as many as you can. Given the setting and quality of teams, this should be the best semi-final of the day.

It is now where near the best semifinal of the day. Section 6AA (Eden Prairie, BSM, Minnetonka, and Wayzata) is going to be far better. As well as 2AA (Edina, AHA, Burnsville, and Jefferson) and probably 3AA (Apple Valley, Eagan, Cretin-Derham Hall, Woodbury). Section 7AA is not deep. Sections 2AA, 3AA, 5AA, and 6AA are all better than 7AA.

Higher ranked teams yes, but the best atmosphere will be at Amsoil. Braemer and BIG are tiny arenas. Amsoil Arena will have twice the number of fans making it a better experience.

If East, Cloquet and Grand Rapids win their quarterfinal games, there is a chance of a sellout. While the Amsoil holds 1,300 more people than the DECC did, there will be the novelty of visiting this brand spanking new arena, which will draw people who might otherwise stay away.

Looking forward to semifinal Saturday!

On semifinal Saturday there is 1 2AA game and 1 6AA at BIG and the other two 2AA and 6AA games are at Braemar
