JGA Regions/State
Who will be one of the top teams to get beat by an underdog?
With Wayzata and Minnetonka with so many wins, will it be them.
It will be an interesting tourney

Wayzata played well last night and will be a playoff favorite. Saw good hustle out of EP all night long which proved that you can win big games with less talent if you out-work the other guy.
EP has a decent team which previously beat Tonka and Edina, so a win at home was not a major upset. Also, EP played Wayzata very close in a loss earlier this season.

Does anyone have a link to the state schedule? Does anyone know what time the games are at the first day? I know we don't know who is going to be there but is there something that says what time M1 plays G2 and M2 plays G1, etc? That sort of thing.
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too.

I agree and am in the same boat as you. Of the 6/7 games i watched this weekend so far. This was one of the 2 i thought was going to be a great game, and it was.Reg Dunlap wrote:Hate to say I told you so, but slp is playing some damn good hockey right now. Locked the m1 spot scoring 10 goals and only letting up 2. And no I'm not from or a fan of slp, but they have seemed to have figure it out at the right time.
Congrats to SLP
bb's picks
My predictions for JGA state were nearly dead on. Here's what I predicted and what actually happened:
Predictions:
M1 = Wayzata
M2 = Tonka
M3 = Edina
M4 = Ep
M5 = Burnsville or Lakeville
M6 = SLP
Actual:
M1 = SLP
M2 = Tonka
M3 = Ep
M4 = Edina
M5 = Burnsville
M6 = TBD (either Wayzata or WBL)
If Wayzata wins, all six teams I predicted will have made state.

edina was slow to start and put 2 in back to back in the 3rd to seal the deal.
Lakeville held with Edina until the third, then they fell apart.
Wayzata came out on fire and died off late in the first and came back strong out of the locker room for the third. Good luck to the trojans at state.
WBL played solid hockey, very nice breakout and hard working forecheck netted them their goals.

edina was not slow to start, they got dominated and game back. you can't write off teams that play better than other ones for the start of the game. it discredits the other team. i am so sick of people making excuses for "slow starts" or that they "didn't play well." NO. wayzata got outplayed and beat in all 3 pds. jefferson outplayed edina in the begining and edina had a good first goal and third goal. just because a good team gets beat (ex wayzata) doesnt mean one has to say they played poorly, they got worked, they got beat...they are not all high and mighty, and by saying that we make it seem as if it was under their control. it wasnt. they got beat. so please guys let's use our heads here, we're all smart enough to figure this out.
