Stillwater gave up winning goal with 1:27 left in third and Wayzata knocked in an empty netter to seal it. Wayzata out shot Stillwater 35-15 but Stillwater lead twice during the game and grinded it out the whole game and made Wayzata earn this one.
Goals by each team called off for man in the crease in the last 5 min of the 3rd period. Good game but slowed down by penalties. Bville lost their HEP, not sure about Edina. I think they were close....
Wayzata started out a bit flat n SLP cam to play; tied 2-2 at the start of the 3rd. Wayzata "woke up" and responded with 4 quick ones. Hats off to SLP - can see this team being very dangerous come playoffs.
Burnsville outplayed and outshot Wessy's. Ran into a hot goalie. Had a goal called off with 2 minutes to play. The ref's explaination "We were all out of position, and by the time the goalie pulled it out of the net we already blew the whistle". Tough tie, but played well.
the goal did go in. bad call by the ref and should have been a loss for us. but as far as chippy goes look at yourself. one of the biggest hacks in the league is ep when they arent winning.
Should have never played this one. Stillwater only had 9 players make it in the snow -lost one in second period due to penalties. Ref's spotted Centenial on 2 controversial goals at beginning - one man laying in the crease, ref said "he had fallen and could not get up" so thats why he did not call it and then let them hack away at a frozen puck for another "since I could not see it, I did not blow the whistle" that was because it was covered, dah. I can see why Centenial has lost so many FPP - the refs called stuff they shouldn't and missed stuff they should...having been a ref, I typically do not say anything, but they were bad - Regions will be real interesting. I hope we do not have to use these guys since D10 is hosting regions.

There was no ice time within this week to reschedule and all of our games have to be finished by friday. That was stated when Stillwater wanted to reschedule and talked to Centennial managers.

Oh ya - nothing we could do about the circumstances at the time - in hind sight we probably could have gotten permission, under the circumstances, from the league and done it over the weekend BUT the decision was made, we played and we need to live with that...just unfortunate as close as things are in the standings.......
