Mpls Park Defeats Wayzata 2-1 in Bantam A District 3 Playoff

Post by F14 »

I know Zach Hale got one goal for MP and Henry Johnson (MP) and Vaughan Ahrens (Wayzata) both played VERY well in nets.

I saw MP defeat them 6-4 earlier in the season. Wayzata is still in the playoffs - MP plays Orono at 8:30 pm on Friday the 25th at Orono - winner goes to state for sure

Jumping the gun a little F14 - winner will go to a VERY tough Region with D6 & D5.

Wow. With only two berths to regions this year perennial D3 powers, #2 Wayzata and #9 Maple Grove, are fighting for the back door.

I'd hate to be one of the under sized goal scorers on that Wayzata team. No more fair play points.

In my humble opinion, going to be a heck of a game regardless.

Penalties and goaltending will determine the winner. MG goalies have been struggling a bit lately, but have too much talent to be dismissed.
