Boy, you sure are pretty good at hiding behind the computer and calling people names!Pinky wrote:Are you clueless?? You have both Wayzata Blue and Wayzata Navy going? It rotates every year. Learn how to look at the Minnesota youth hockey website you moron.
Plus D5 has STMA as 1 seed, St cloud red as 2 and buffalo as 3.
Blue has been the best team from Day 1

Watch out or you may be called "weak-minded" for that comment. lolblindref wrote:Maybe with eleven Peewee teams, Wayzata could try what Moorhead is doing and skate a second A team instead of chasing trophys around with their 200+ kids?Toomuchtoosoon wrote:What was D3 thinking by not having double elimination with 2 moving on. Top team not able to get a shot at state . Good thing we get lacrescent buffalo Purple, and some St. Cloud team. Thats the breaks, but definitely one of the best teams I saw all year in peewee B1. STMA would not have gotten out of district 3 and now they are a #1 seed.Wayzata Blue defeated Wayzata Gold. Believe score was Blue 4, Gold 2
Minnesota Hockey needs to go away from random to awarding strong districts with more spots. Too many good teams at all levels getting the shaft due to political correctness. Once again, some regions will be a joke.
Their high school teams would be better year in and year out if their top 40-50 kids weren't used to breezing through a season with 4-5 losses.
Was actually my phone. And yeah when people make dumb comments they deserve to know it. All it takes is a little common sense to research things before you run your trap.urban iceman wrote:Boy, you sure are pretty good at hiding behind the computer and calling people names!Pinky wrote:Are you clueless?? Oh pinky-I am far from clueless. On the contrary, I look to challenge the status quo when it does not make sense. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the PC based rotation. I think it makes sense to award region seeds based on merit, not some monkey spinning a wheel every 4 years. Tartan was a good story, but they would not have been prevented from winning last year because of limited district seeds.
Let's not get all bent out of shape over questioning the merits of the current system-it is what these forums allow.
Predict blue wins-kind of impressive when you consider Wayzata went with three even team when Edina can only support two.

It is impressive. I think Edina could have supported three also, given how the B2s from Edina have played, but the EHA board has never gone that route (more teams at higher levels and risk some losses to expose more players to higher levels of competition). I think Edina B2 white coaches and their core, with a few players from Green and black could have been a decent B1 team. Each of the Edina B2 teams beat B1 or unclassified B teams in open B tourneys.Toomuchtoosoon wrote:Predict blue wins-kind of impressive when you consider Wayzata went with three even team when Edina can only support two.

Technically....Wayzata Gold lost and therefore will drop out of the Top 10 for rankings.
So that leaves just two Wayzata teams in the top ten.
Also Wayzata Navy just cracked the top 10 and are very lucky to still be playing considering they won two games in districts in OT against teams they should have not had a problem with.
So I'd say if Edina went with 3 B1 teams they would be probably just the same as Wayzata is now.

I believe looking at scores out of D3, that Navy went to OT with MPLS and Armstrong. These are not two teams to take lightly. Wayzata Blue got beat in the regular season 4-1 by MPLS and had a hard time beating Armstrong 5-3, which by looking at the score may have been an empty net goal scored by Blue at the end. Gold got beat by both Blue and Navy in the regular season. Looks to me, top two Wayzata teams made it out.Survey wrote:Technically....Wayzata Gold lost and therefore will drop out of the Top 10 for rankings.

Point trying to make is that MPLS and Armstrong are teams one could have "problems" with, no pushovers. Looks like ACYHA had a 3-1 lead after two periods. I call that a team giving you problems.Survey wrote:This is from Armstrong's website. No empty netter.
ACYHA Peewee B1 Red 1 2 0 = 3
Wayzata Blue 0 1 4 = 5

Your drinking too much green kool aid (this coming from a big Edina Supporter). These kids are good, but nowhere near the 1st yr Bantams. Those kids could of supported 3 b1s and have all in the top 5. This years group would have had all three outside of the top ten if they went that way. No way to prove it, just my thoughts.Survey wrote:Technically....Wayzata Gold lost and therefore will drop out of the Top 10 for rankings.

This group is good, but nowhere near the depth of Wayzata. I think Wayzata Blue and Gold are like 5-0 vs. Green and white. Navy looks like they had mixed results.
Wayzata is clearly stronger at this level than Edina, just calling it like I see it.

Behave Boys! We all know that Wayzata and Edina both have excellent Hockey Programs. I just happen to grow up on the other side of the tracks and can only look on. Year after year these two associations produce many deep team at all levels. The real story at the B1 peewee level this season may be the boys and girls from Walker flying under the radar for months. Objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear! I believe they only have one loss. They have now stamped their ticket to the State Tournament in Stillwater. Good job kids!
Toomuchtoosoon is correct about the difference between last year's second year's second year Edina Pee Wees vs. this years. The proof is in the pudding:Toomuchtoosoon wrote:I think my assessment of PW B1 in Edina is closer than yours to reality.Survey wrote:Let's just give a few more days and will see.
2010
Pee Wee A State champs
Pee Wee B1 Green state champs
Pee Wee B1 White state runner up
Pee Wee B2 District 6 regular season and tournament champion
Pee Wee C District 6 regular season and tournament champion
Top to bottom the 2011 Edina second year Pee Wees will not be able to duplicate last year's.
It's the two year combo that does it. Next year that group will be back together as Bantams, should be strong again.Ozzie82 wrote:Toomuchtoosoon is correct about the difference between last year's second year's second year Edina Pee Wees vs. this years.
