Wow, what a game
Best 1AA final since Century/Austin in 2003
Charlie Lindgren stood on his head for most of the game, just amazing, it reminded me of Alex Kangas in 2005 when he beat North in 3ot's with 70+ saves. Frahm played darn well himself. North seemed to have a stategy to hit Kloos and Harvey each and everytime they touched the puck, by late in regulation and through much of the overtimes they weren't big factors and the tide shifted to North. When North had the goal waved off (I thought it hit the crossbar) in the 2nd Ot I thought they were done for as it's hard to go from "We Won" to play again, I think they caught a break the period was nearly over and their coach got them back focused. People get on Schmitz but he proved again he can coach when it counts, Lindgren helped no doubt, but still North played very well. Two years in a row South beats North twice during the regular season then North comes up big when the game really counts.
