Metro Hockey League bracket has Burnsville on the loser side. Must be a mistake.LaceEmUp17 wrote:Burnsville 3

Saw this game, lakeville looked like the better team through the first two, but couldn't bury, then SLP came in and did what they do best, score goals.Bragenrights wrote:Lakeville blew this one 1-1entering third period and had a complete meltdown. Good game SLP.
And Reg you were right good call. Now im just hoping I can get a couple more games in before myhockey career ends.
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too.

Haha, there was a lot of that too. Maybe that's what got to lakeville in the third because they completely melted down.StayAtHomeD wrote:Reg Dunlap wrote:Saw this game, lakeville looked like the better team through the first two, but couldn't bury, then SLP came in and did what they do best, score goals.Bragenrights wrote:Lakeville blew this one 1-1entering third period and had a complete meltdown. First goal was a slapshot from the point. I couldn't tell if there was anybody in the crease on the 2nd goal from where I was standing. The 3rd goal was not a high stick. I had a perfect angle. It did look like it though. One of the players crashing the net had their stick up by where the puck went in, although he did not make contact with it, or interfere with the goaltender.

Ref called way too many penalties. Ep also had a goal called off.
Good game though
hate to see refs go nutz with penalties
How did both teams play?
Hats off to stillwater on a great tourney. Lost a heartbreaker to WBL in ot.
Any projections for EP v Edina? I say EP 4 Edina 1

Agreed. Saying wayzata played poorly completely writes off slp which is really unfair. They buried and has control of their emotions unlike their opposition. I think the turning point was when the first wayzata player got tossed and flipped the bird to the fans upon his departure.doughboy41193 wrote:they didnt play badly, SLP just outplayed them entirely. 5-1 usually means domination, so don't just say they played badly.
State bracket update
wayzata's loss would mean they would end up on the same side of the bracket as Tonka if they beat WBL. State brackets for JGA are typically:
M1 - SLP
G2 - Moorhead or GR
M3 - Ep or Edina
M4 - Loser of Ep/Edina vs. Jefferson
G1 - Duluth
M6 - Wayzata or WBL
M2 - Tonka
M5 - Burnsville or Eagan
