Next Year's Questionmarks for these 10 teams: PLEASE COMMENT

Edina loses a lot of their senior firepower, and both goalies, and the junior and sophomore classes aren't as strong.

EP will struggle next year but what a great run for these seniors. Will be interesting if they can win a second State title.

E.P will struggle as has been mentioned. They lose far too much to not have a down season.

Additionally for Eden Prairie, coming up through youth hockey they never put together a team that was really close to the top for this senior class. For this upcoming senior class, it was always Eagan, Wayzata, Apple Valley, Duluth East, Rochester North, and Lakeville South that were consistently in the top ten to top five in the state.

Rochester of course isn't the same when they try to fund 4 high schools with 1 A team.
Wayzata lost multiple key players to private schools from there bantam team that I believe won state.
Lakeville is virtually the same team minus osterberg, however in youth you can win with 1 line unlike high school.
Eagan will be very good, along with Duluth East and Apple Valley.

Bemidji loses a fine goaltender but Ben Schram is a big athletic kid that will be back and has always played peewee A - bantam A and done well.
The forwards that are gone are Max Hazelton on 1st line and Steven Heller and Tyler "Follis o the 2 line.
Back are Matt Seratore and John Forseth and Jordan Heller - they will score some goals. Other will fill in from jrs on the JV and next year 10th graders plus a player moving in from Shattuck.
On D Can Daedl is gone but teh #1 D is Tyler Tatro and he will be back as well as some supporting cast and one or two off JV and bantam A.

They will ahve to work hard to be as good but should be in the mix.

With Moorhead returning almost all of its scoring with christian, ness, brenk, the uglem brothers, etc. AND bitzer... I don't see anyone coming close to the spuds. Watch out for the spuds makin a run at state next year.

That is IF they stay in Moorhead and play their Seinor year..........

The only way I see anyone leaving is if the Spuds win it all this year.

With Moorhead returning almost all of its scoring with christian, ness, brenk, the uglem brothers, etc. AND bitzer... I don't see anyone coming close to the spuds. Watch out for the spuds makin a run at state next year.

What are the odds of Bitzer playing another year? He was one of the best (if not the best) goalies in the state this year.

Virginia will drop off for a few years, they lost their G and 83% of their scoring. So unless their JV was 20-0 and winning every game 8-0, they will watch Hibbing go to state the next 2-3 years.

Duluth Marshall I think will be a big time threat in 7A again I think.

I agree with both. This was Virginias year, with what they lose and what is happening with their Bantam and Peewee teams, they should be down for a while. And Marshall doesn't rely on their JV program for many players. With what has been going on with the school transitions, they have reloaded with some good young players. They shold be strong again in the next couple of years.

The original thread has nothing to do with Hibbing. I agree with you that Hibbing should be very strong within the next couple of years and make a couple runs at State (including this year). The thread mentioned Virginia, I guess I am sorry I added Marshall without talking about Hibbing. With possible section re-allignment, Marshall may not even be in 7A next year.
