Edina 4 (EN)
Bengals 1

Malvin keeps it close but Edina has too much firepower.

Keep in mind, these teams tied 2-2 earlier this season. I'm going to go 2-1 Edina, possible OT

Cake vs. Bengals

For the second straight year, Edina goes in as the #2 seed and gets to play in the opening QF game.

Other than Malvin's goaltending, I wasn't impressed with the Bengals last game at all.

I'm going with Edina on this one. By maybe 2 or 3 goals

Edina will probably win, but you never know with a hot goalie.

Edina can bury the puck in big games, unlike Maple Grove.

Maple Grove had 44 shots, Malvin played out of his mind. I wouldn't say they can't bury the puck, they just faced a hot goalie.

Hornets 4-1. Giles willl have them ready. Think DE will beat WBL and Edina vs DE should be a classic.

3 step program for Blaine

Post by dwvandy »

1. Blaine will need to play deeper than they are..in reality.
2. Will need at least SOME production from THREE lines.
3. Goaltending will need to remain hot, and the defense will need to show some poise in moving the puck out of the defensive end for the Bengals to have a chance.
Let it all hang out, or go home.

Bengals 3-2, OT, thanks to some new unsung hero....

Depth has hurt Blaine all year long. The drop off from the first 2 lines to the 3rd is pretty big. In order for them to win Malvin must play as big as he did last Friday, and they have to minimize turnovers in their own zone.

I have a feeling the Cake are going to walk all over the bleached Bengals. There's a good chance the officiating is brutal for this one. This crew from Warroad is terrrrible.

Blaine, just so I don't have to listen to Nanne talk about his grandson for two more games.

1-1

Two tipped goals.
Edina's was on purpose and Blaine's was an unfortunate bounce.
The officiating has already played a factor.

I didn't pay attention to the introductions (and haven't really followed Blaine this year) but I was wondering why I kept hearing the name "Brodzinski" till I hear Clay mention that both brothers have a goal for Blaine.

Ooooohhhhhhh!
