Need All-State-Tournament Teams From Way Back

Post by Govie »

Was wondering where I could find lists from way back - 50s and 60s?

In particular I want to see the 1965 all-state tournament team.

Anyone?

Terry Smith- Bloomington
Dave Roddy- Bloomington
Pat McKusky- St Paul Johnson

Bob Hocking- South St Paul
Jerry Klema- Roseau
Bob Stanley- Minneapolis Southwest

Awesome, thanks. My dad knew the Johnson guys and apparently that McKusky was just a brilliant player. I think he said McKusky's dad bought him a new car or something when they won it in 1963. I believe both of the Johnson players went to the Golden Gophers after their Johnson stint.

Ahh, the good old days when Johnson was the power house of the city and it wasn't turning into a squalor filled trash heap with some real losers on the Eastside. Can't even drive around over there anymore without seeing some unapealing-looking taco truck on one of the corners. :(

BTW, where can I purchase one of those books?

Welcome. Well worth the money in my case. I remembered seeing a small ad in old hockey tournament programs and decided to see if there was a web site for Lets Play Hockey and there was and I saw the ad. So I ordered the book(even though, TECHNICALLY) it was a birthday present. Got it 1 day after I ordered it and am not sorry
