14UA State Tournament Bracket

(O2) East Grand Forks

(N1) Centennial Red
(A3) Highland

(O1) Roseau
(N3) NWC Red

(A2) Edina Green
(N2) Wayzata

Not bad, although the bracket is a bit lopsided. I'd say any one of 6 teams could win, with 4 of them a very legitimate shot. We'll see how the puck bounces. As usual, it's not necessarily the Regions winner; it's whoever has the best tournament weekend. Should be fun.

Centennial vs. North Wright County (Championship)

Congratulations to North Wright County: the 14UA champs this year!

Although, NWC had one of the best records in the state, it felt like they were under-appreciated in the LPH polls and MHR rankings this year.

They aren't metro enough for LPH. Congrats the the NWC team.

Everyone takes the rankings and polls way too seriously. Like everyone, I enjoy looking through the rankings and in my opinion they are a fairly good barometer of the best teams at that at point. Hats off to NWC and they earned the right to be Number 1 now. It was a great tourney with 8 great teams. Congrats to everyone who made it there this year.
