Not my position to discuss being we are covering the tourney. Just a lot of penalties and chirping. Leaving it at that.Details on this game ? Who got "chippy" ?

Blaine vs Brainerd
Final score:
Blaine 6
Brainerd 3
Weaker wrist shot from point beat Brainerd tender high stick side only 18 seconds in to start the game. May have been partially screened but kind of a knuckle ball that fooled him. Early in Blaine is controling the play with 11:00 left in 1st
Goal scored by Blaine on back hand glove side to make it 2 - 0 with 9:48 left in 1st.
Brainerd goal on rebound shot as tender was down. 8:59 left in period
Brainerd PP goal with 7:37 left in 1st. Weak shot trickled thru tender's 5-hole as he went down in butterfly position. Stand up goalies Geez
Another 5-hole goal this time by Blaine.
With 2:18 left Blaine goal shot beating tender glove side from Simpson breaking to net off right wing.
Early on in 2nd period at :40 Brainerd scores with a scramble goal on the PP to get the rebound goal and get within 1.
3rd Period Brainerd goaltender making some huges saves in 3rd to give his team a chance to come back. Could easily be behind by 3 goals by this point in period.
Bad line change by Brainerd creates 3 on 1 and nice tick tack toe goal to nail the coffin shut with 1:46 left.
Open net goal by Blaine

Elk River vs Woodbury
A game where you hate to see either team lose based upon the level of play yesterday. Great goaltending on both ends of the ice and Defense.Any thoughts about the Elk River vs. Woodbury game?
Have to say the Woodbury Dmen did an excellent job keeping the Elks mostly outside but when they did get in tighter or a shot on goal goalie made saves he needed to and Dmen cleared puck for him if any rebounds.
Ya have to feel for the tender Berglove of Elk River as the goal that beat him was tipped by his own D-man to beat him. Strongly believe the way the tenders were playing that he probably would have stopped it. But that is not to place blame on anyone just one of those things that happens. Quite honestly I never thought we would have seen a shutout in this game though just felt like both teams were gonna pop a few so says a lot about the goalies and overall D play.
Overall good quality teams with great coaching staffs that I have nothing but good things to say about. Good luck to both today in their respective games.

I would like to send my congrats to a great Season for the all bantam teams.
But, need to acknowlede the special season the EP Team had this year - coming out with a State Title is no easy feat and those boys worked thier tail off every game, every practise. Ending up State Champs with a 51-12-3 record is a season to remember - Congrats Fellas!!
