Messier Helmets
Well, another 3 stitches to my son's forehead! Crappy helmets with a major defect. I for one hope that the helmet goes bye bye real soon.

Sorry to hear that. You might want to get him a new helmet; the cuts will only continue and may worsen your sons skin tissue if the cuts are in the same spot.
I am glad someone brought this topic back to life. At the Expo this year, I asked a M11 rep about this common problem. He of course deflected my question with ignorance... "I have never heard of that before?"
Yeah, ok buddy....

I'd love to get rid of the helmet, but unfortunately, they provide these helmets to my son's junior team and they all have to wear them. Next year, however, I'm going to speak up (my son agrees) -- say "NO" to the M11 helmet! (Apparently, when he left the ice to get stitched, he was spewing some choice words about the helmet.)

Would need a woodpecker head to prevent concussion. It is the movement of the brain that is the overridding issue. Do not believe any helmet will stop brain from moving.
WebMD "A concussion is a brain injury that is caused by a sudden blow to the head or to the body. The blow shakes the brain inside the skull, which temporarily prevents the brain from working normally."
