Interesting stuff. Pretty sure Walsh is a 94.

The regular draft is in May.

Must be a different Walsh, even though it's listed on the draft site as the kid from Edina, he's a 94.

You are correct. I checked the Green Bay Gamblers site and they listed him as a D out of the Chicago Mission.

The USHL has it wrong on their site...I corrected the list.

12 out of 90 players were from MN. Only 10 for mhsl teams. Doesn't seem like a lot for a state that prides itself on producing the best players in the nation?

Some top players are not drafted at all, see NTDP signees. If we didn't produce top players don't you think they would allow a team MN at the 15's festival?

Furthermore many states hockey foundation takes a much more aggressive job promoting their players towards the USHL etc... they don't have "good" high school hockey like we have. For some players in Illinois and others, they may here if not jrs, then your done.

Teams may also decide not to draft a Minnesota player if unsure they will get him to join. Which makes one wonder if the USHL / NTDP knew where Tyler C was leaning prior to NTDP invites and this draft.

There is no Team MN at the festival. They split the players up with other players around the country.
