Was Lettieri deserving making the team this year? Didn't make it last year which really has no bearing. If, he improved that much congrats to him, but makes you wonder if the Grandpa had any influence on the outcome since he was not rostered last year and was cut in early stagesManBearPig wrote:http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/news_article ... r_id=32760

Lettieri led Minnetonka in scoring for most of the year. He's a very good player, and it shouldn't be a surprise at all that he made it.blueliner5 wrote:Was Lettieri deserving making the team this year? Didn't make it last year which really has no bearing. Didn't see him play this past year. Congrats to Lettieri for working that much harder to make the team this year. Good example for all players to keep your head up if you don't make it. Work harder and the results will show. Good Luckmuckandgrind wrote:Lettieri led Minnetonka in scoring for most of the year. Stupid part of this thread and a non-conspiracy.blueliner5 wrote:Didn't see him play this past year. Congrats to Lettieri for working that much harder to make the team this year. A sophomore, playing in the Lake, leading his squad (a top ten team by the way). This alone made him a "for sure" to make this team. Louie Nanne from Edina made the 17s and earned that spot too. Nice to say Grandpa Lou helped 'stuff the ballots' for the grandkids, but their efforts speak for themselves and they earned their way onto these teams. Congrats to both.

I'm pretty sure that is the case. In the USNTDP tryout he went up against a NHL Players kid, A NHL gm's relative and a goalie phenom from Michigan that attends local USNTP goalie camps. Miska shined in comparison and has always been a huge underdog.Hockeydad1893 wrote:Did Hunter Miska have an "automatic" because he is going to Ann Arbor?
It's pretty interesting when you google the other three goalies and compare how different their paths have been.
They should of made an exeption and taken three goalies from Minnesota in this case with Miska already a lock and with how a couple goalies performed.

I also think that would have been a great idea. I don't think Miska was one of the top two over the weekend, but overall deserves it. I also think that Dugas or Gerdes should have gotten a chance.MrBoDangles wrote:They should of made an exeption and taken three goalies from Minnesota in this case with Miska already a lock and with how a couple goalies performed.Hockeydad1893 wrote:Did Hunter Miska have an "automatic" because he is going to Ann Arbor?
Not only is Nanne a great multisport athlete, he has great character too. Congratulations to him.rashreid20 wrote:Stupid part of this thread and a non-conspiracy.blueliner5 wrote:Didn't see him play this past year.
