98 Blades. Looks like a tough bunch to pick. I don't know much about most of them. The 98 steelers are very good. I would guess the 01 Brick team would be strong as well.

97 Vancouver Selects ( Mn Blades. Machine should make top 4)
98 Calgary Hitmen vs ( Mn Blades, Vancouver Selects, jr Steelers should be in the top 4)
99 Vancouver Selects Blue vs Machine
00 Machine or BC bears or Mountain Selects or Brick Alumni
01 Vancouver Selects vs Team Brick
02 Vancouver Selects

Should be great competition, but I think the 98 Wolverines will take this division. For some reason they slip under the radar, but they have some unbelieveable talent on this team. A few weeks ago in Vancouver (Challenge Cup) they easily walked into the championship game, outscoring their opponents 51-2 in their first 4 games. They beat the Vancouver Selects in the semis, but then lost to a very strong Vancouver Millionaires team in the championships, although the Millionaires are not in Winnipeg.

The 2000s are pretty deep so the Machine may have difficulty getting the final. Choosing the BC Bears is a puzzling to me.

I see a Van Selects versus AB Brick team final

Ouch, both the Blades and the Machine took losses in the 98 division. The machine ran into a stout Vancouver Vipers team, 8-0 loss

Tough competition up there. That is why these teams travel to these tourneys.

2003 Manitoba Extreme just beat Vancouver Selects 7-1. Jr Steelers 9-0 winners. Competition going to get much better after the round robin for most teams.

Totally agree I was just waiting for all of the people to pile on the Machine and Blades when they don't go up there and win a bunch of games. A lot of what these tourneys are about is playing and losing a 5-3 or 4-1 game playing tough and maybe runniing into a hot goalie that steals a game that puts you into a consolation bracket. Adversity is good and makes you compete harder at the next level.

The 98 Machine and Icemen are both 0-3, losing big in all of their games so far. 98 Blades are 2-1 and Minnesota's only hope at this point.

I saw that. Icemen coach told me last week that they played last Sun even, that the 98 Blades would be the only hope up there.

No Minnesota teams in the final 4 of 2003 divisions.

2002 has BC Bears vs Manitoba 2k2 Warriors in the finals and Vancouver The Machine are going for 5th and the Blades are going for 7th.

2001 has the Machine playing Team Brick Sask in the finals

2000 division has the Blades in the B Side playoffs and the Machine get the Brick Alumni in A Side Semi's.

1999 Has the Machine in the A Side Semis while the Blades are in the C Side Consolation

1998 the Blades are in the B final and the Icemen and Machine are out.

1997 The Blades are in the A final vs Vancouver Selects and the Machine are in the B final vs the Jr Blades.

Great competition in all age groups! GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS PLAYING TODAY!

Back in the day the "B" final was known as the 3rd place game.
