HM 2011-2012 Schedule
I was just sent Hill Murray's schedule for 2011-2012. In their tradition of a tough pre-conference schedule they have:
Nov 11 - Lakeville North
Nov 15 - Breck
Nov 22 - Minntonka
Nov 26 - Stillwater
Nov 29 - Eden Prairie
Dec 2 - Warroad
Dec 3 - Roseau
It also appears that they will be playing in the Kaposia Classic this year (So. St. Paul) rather than the Edina Tournament.

Neat to see - interesting switch at Holiday Tournament which could give them a chance to face Roseville twice in the same season.
Can Sec 4AA still be considered toughest in the State? How does HM stack up talent wise this year versus Roseville, WB and Stillwater?
It would appear they have a lot of returning talent and the one unknown would be in goal with the graduation of two very good goalies last year. Any idea on new players enrolling at HM that may have impact?

HM
Ok, don't laugh, I am kinda chuckling myself, but...
My sister's hair dresser says there is a girl leaving WBL for HM, because her/her family feels there is a better opportunity for a scholarship at HM.
I know it sounds like a funny rumor from the hairdresser and all,but I thought I would see if there is any truth. Can any WBL'ers or HM'ers deny or confirm?

Well...I think before long, it's completely plausible that CDH will become a stronger team consistently and battle the top dogs in the SEC. We will see.joehockey wrote:Can Sec 4AA still be considered toughest in the State? How does HM stack up talent wise this year versus Roseville, WB and Stillwater?
Might be true but it will be at the expense of other programs on the East Side. HM seems to be achieving on building a strong program that can develop talent to play at the next level Coaches have to be commended on what they have achieved over the last 4 years - have really developed a good program and are connected to college programs. This may signal another talented coach or 2 joining the HM staff.brookyone wrote:Well...I think before long, it's completely plausible that CDH will become a stronger team consistently and battle the top dogs in the SEC. Traditionally CDH has attracted players from the Sibley area, Highland, Woodbury and W. Wisconsin.
HM has gotten stronger with more White Bear, Stillwater, Woodbury and W. Wisconsin players.
The rise of CDH & HM has drawn many top players away from Woodbury and now Eastridge. The new coaching staff at CDH likely will hurt the 2 Woodbury High Schools and Cottage Grove the most. The SEC is clearly a better top to bottom conference than Classic Suburban. Time will tell.

Well, now we know that MN HS Girls' Hockey has finally hit the big time when the goings on of the players are being discussed at the hairdressers around town. When I next visit my hairdresser Shirley, I'll hopefully get the scoop on the Johanssens' divorce, Mrs. Kimlinger's daughter's drug problem, and the latest on the St. Paul Blades search for a head coach.

I don't think they will be stealing anyone away from Eastridge now that Norwich is there.joehockey wrote:Might be true but it will be at the expense of other programs on the East Side.
