D3 mergers or co-ops?

Post by Newbie Dad »

Is anyone aware of any mergers or co-ops being talked about in D3?

...at the youth level, didn't do much for SLP or MPLS high schools.

It did a lot for both high schools as it delivered players used to playing at a much higher level than they would have ever experienced had they not been co-op'd. I believe Minneapolis will continue to have their teams operating at a pretty strong level in D3 but SLP is in trouble, without the co-op, in terms of development over the next 2-3 years. SLP will have to weaken their Bantam and PeeWee schedules outside of D3, and quality of tournaments they enter, which will hinder development of their players moving to the high school team.
