Roseau at Moorhead Tuesday the 13

Roseau is out of it but they have shot against Warroad? Hmm, i'm thinking da Rams aren't the only ones who are out of it. But hey, i suppose this line of thinking is good news for the Warriors. Last year everyone knew warroad was awesome and they still couldn't beat them. If other teams are thinking like you it could be a long time until the Warriors lose. Play another sport if ya dont got what it takes to DangleMcFangle.

Before I head off to Moorhead I have one last thing. Moorhead might be good, great even, but they had better be ready for Roseau tonight. This is the most confident Roseau team I have seen goin into a Moorhead game in years. Moorhead sets a new state tournament record!

It was a real sloppy game for the Spuds. Roseau didn't look that great either, neither team could mount much offensive pressure. Roseau's goals were 2 on a power play and 1 on a breakaway. 3 of Moorhead's goals were the same way...1 on a power play and 2 on breakaways including the game winner. Not sure what the final shots were, but after 2 periods the Spuds were outshooting the Rams 15-10. Moorhead is not the team they were last year, and the Rams are better for sure. These are two pretty evenly matched teams. I do believe Moorhead will improve as the year goes on since they are pretty young. I thought that Moorhead came out a little sloppy. There was a couple of time I saw all five skaters chasing a puck in the corner. They settled down after awhile and played some good hockey. Roseau has a good penalty kill, or Moorhead has an awful power play. Roseau was playing a pretty aggressive penalty kill by sending 2 players into the offensive zone to put pressure on the Spuds breaking the puck out and it worked really well. It was a good game, both teams have some good potential, but a long way to go.

Rams are setting the trap in order to pull the ultimate defeat come February. Total domination of the Spud in sections...be there aloha. There is no denial of this simple fact in circa 2005-2006. Another tidbit for all the newbies, there ain't a dang thing Slapshooter, Below Hero Zero, Bluesbuddy, Packerboy, east hockey, Majin, kranky, psmest, and the whole flippin' Spud arsenal can do to stop the Rams from toppling the Spuds in sections this season. Spuds got shafted in 2004-2005 ( and many of us lost a fine cohort in the process) so it is payback time here in 2005-2006. Time to bring the 'professionals' in to seal the deal, taking all challengers to the woodshed.
