Yeah, some of you posters have an off-season. Sort of like teachers.

I admit I did not post as frequent in the off-season; however, I was not absent.

On another note, it appears Packer fans are as bad as Yankee fans now. Neither are humble at all. Just an observation...

Hey now, I've been a dedicated Yankees and Packers fan all my life.

The Packers have had two or three losing seasons over that stretch. The Yankees even missed the playoffs once. I stayed with them both through those tough times. :P

Wrong. Bears fans. It's not that we're not going to hell. We just don't want to be in the express lane.

Umm... No thanks.

When it comes to football and the NFL, fantasy football is my only interest.

Why bother drawing out the pain? Trust me, the cheeseheads are quite nice once you get used to them. :P

As long as we're on football, I'll add a shoutout for Wisconsin's second straight Big Ten title. Back to the Rose Bowl! Also, I enjoyed seeing Tim Brewster as a sideline reporter.

He's a horrible reporter as well...

He can't coach, he can't report, how does this man still get jobs?

I'm always amazed how some people can turn awful careers into broadcasting jobs. (Matt Millen also comes to mind.) Though of course we have a reminder every year in the Class A State Tourney that being a good player does not make one a good broadcaster...and yet, once their name is out there, they never seem to go away.

On a completely unrelated note, the New York Times is doing a fascinating, if somewhat chilling, series on Derek Boogaard this week. Definitely worth reading/watching the video: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011 ... #chapter/1

The only good thing about a Packers' potential run to a perfect season is watching the dismay of the 1972 Miami Dolphins' alumni.

Agreed. I hate those old prunes that drink champagne after a team in contention's loss.

Only Minnesotans would call an undefeated team with one of the prettiest, most efficient offenses ever "ugly."

Unless you're talking about Clay Matthews's hair. Now that is ugly.
