Congrats to Jake and Grant. It has been a rough couple of years for the family. Bischoff will bring some great depth to the Gophers defense for sure.

I played baseball against him in august. Maybe he acts different in hockey but in baseball he acted pretty bad. At least if he played baseball at the U then I can say that I struck out a D1 baseball player :D

Just heard that he played youth Hockey in Pine City... Does anyone have any more info on this? Or when he moved to Grand Rapids?

I knew that Christian Isackson played there until going to STA, but had no idea about Bischoff..

I'm not aware of him coming from Pine City. I can remember him playing little league baseball and playing as a squirt in hockey. Regardless, he's been part of the GR hockey and baseball system all the way up.

My friend has cabin up there and said he saw it in the paper that they both played youth Hockey there. Maybe it was up to squirts or upper mites....? Just thought it would be an interesting story if they crossed paths there and now they're both Gophers. Where did Isackson play youth Hockey then?

Thanks for the info

As a Gopher fan, I hope this GR player fares better than the last one.

You Gopher fans are a bunch of D-Bags! Pathetic comment!
What's pathetic about that comment? I never called out the individual. Never said he sucks, or anything demeaning. All I said was I hope Bischoff has a better run for the Gophers.

53 points in 147 games. What would you call that northwoods? He certainly did not meet expectations.

That comment was truthful and realistic. Absolutely nothing wrong with his comment. If that is bad than this entire website would be shut down for things I have read.

All he meant was the kid that just left a little bit ago was a disappointment for the U's program. Is that wrong to say? No, not at all!
