Very cool. I read Tod's book. Some Florida kids I know recently played them. I've heard the Eagles have a real nice team.InTheKnow wrote:The Michigan team is the 99 USA Eagles. Anoka native Tod Hartje is their coach.
I suspect they'll come up a little short against a strong Minnesota team. The late 98s will make a big difference.
Best of luck. Nice to see a team from Michigan traveling to Minnesota. That's not common. Thanks.
Be kind. Rewind.

Top 5 Reasons why Prior Lake is not in the Edina Tournament
5) Edina Hockey is in denial that Prior Lake is no longer a doormat in District 6. The Hornets can't figure out why it's not an automatic 2 wins a year in district play against the Lakers.
4) There are more than 3 teams better than Edina this year in Pee Wee A play (ie. Lakeville South, Eden Prairie, Prior Lake). So with only 3 pools in the tournament Edina could not stack the brackets any more than it already has in order to set the Hornets up to advance out of their pool. (Current pools have Lakeville South, OMG & Stillwater together along with EP & Elk River in another pool. Edina is in the easiest bracket)
3) Prior Lake 8 Edina White 7. This is the score of the 2009-10 Squirt A game in Fargo in which the Lakers won in a shootout. Arguably one of the best hockey games ever played in the largest Squirt A Tourney in the country. These types of things are not supposed to happen in Edina hockey. To this day, this loss still hurts.
2) After numerous attempts by Prior Lake to try to get in the current Edina Pee Wee A Tourney, Edina simply wouldn't budge. Their excuse was that with EP already in, their would be too many D6 teams in the tourney. Well after someone backed out of the tourney guess who was invited? Waconia. That's right another D6 team. Go figure..
1) And the #1 reason why Edina will not let Prior Lake in the Pee Wee A tourney is:
In the 2008-09 Squirt A season, the Edina Hornets were unbeaten during league play until the District Tournament where they were defeated in the
Championship 2-1 by a determined Prior Lake team.
Ever since that memorable day at BIG, the Edina program will never look at Prior Lake hockey the same.
Just the way we like it.

Man as much as I hate Edina I’m seriously taking a disliking to Prior Lake. You guy’s really need to come off your high horse with this Pee Wee team. Greatest squirt A game ever, c’mon did you smoke crack with your Fruit Loops this morning?push the envelope wrote:5) Edina Hockey is in denial that Prior Lake is no longer a doormat in District 6. WOW!!! I guess crack don't smoke itself! This has to be the most self absorbed, delusional, cynical post I have seen in a long time. I will go out on a limb and guess you don't like Edina... thats your opinion and you are entitiled to it. I am happy you have a good team but to go back to a 2008-09 squirt hockey game wow dude just wow. Also the number one reason they did not let you into their tournament is............. its their tournament they can let in or deny anyone (or possibly because they don't want raging lunatics in the tournament). You can plot your revenge by starting your own tournament and not letting Edina into it then the WORLD WILL KNOW WHO # 1 HA HA HA HA (insert evil laugh). Every team has ups and downs each year obviously P.L is having an up year and Edina is having a somewhat down year (it is still early). Next year the roles could be reversed again who knows. Just take a couple prozacs and relax these are 12 yr old kids.

Sorry to spoil your delusion but if you think the woman that the EHA pays to organize this tournament gives 2 hoots about your Peewee A team you are sadly mistaken.push the envelope wrote:5) Edina Hockey is in denial that Prior Lake is no longer a doormat in District 6. And by the way all of the 2008-09 Squirt A members are first year Bantams now so they don't care about your Peewee A team either.
Really...?
You have to admit that it was kind of funny.

Equipment malfunction?
It comes as no great surprise that edina will be be serving 'chicken flavored' cake at their tourney. Apparently the edina coaches weren't compelled to wear a certain critical piece of equipment in a game, practice or scrimmage during their playing careers...wasn't necessary.
cluck, cluck!

That's good stuff. I'm sure all the other teams in the tournament appreciate you classifying them as patsies.Sponge Cake wrote:It comes as no great surprise that edina will be be serving 'chicken flavored' cake at their tourney. cluck, cluck!
I wonder how Edina is able to win all those state titles and somewhow manages to shy away from playing any top teams?

I just hope the kids didn't get let in for any adult reasons.C-dad wrote:Sounds like few facts and lots and lots of speculation and butt hurt to me.MrBoDangles wrote:Why didn't Prior Lake get in then![]()
Sounds like mostly fact to me..
It would just seem that they would want the best teams in their tournament.
I'm just able to see why the Prior Lake guy is wondering.
Good luck to all the kids.

Are we projecting a bit? They can park the Zamboni over at braemar because of all the whining and crying that has already flooded the ice...C-dad wrote:Sounds like few facts and lots and lots of speculation and butt hurt to me.MrBoDangles wrote:Why didn't Prior Lake get in then![]()

Why? The PL folks aren't there. I don't think their tears are making it past the river.Sponge Cake wrote:Are we projecting a bit?
