Suburban East 12-6-2011

Post by WHAFightingSaints »

Two games in the Suburban East tonight

Park-Cottage Grove (1-0-1) at Irondale (0-1-0) 7:30PM (Schwan’s Super Rink)
The Wolfpack are off to a nice start with a win over Tartan and a somewhat surprising tie versus Stillwater. Their goaltending has been strong and I look for them to stay unbeaten with a win tonight against the Knights of Irondale.

St. Michael Albertville (1-0-0) at Forest Lake (0-2-0) 7:30PM
The Rangers are struggling out of the gate; they simply have taken to many penalties and right now seem to be an undisciplined team. Their leaders need to stay out of the box for them to get back on track. They need a win tonight against their newest 7AA foe STMA not only for their confidence, but Section 7AA seeding as well.

Looked like Gravalle touched Luke's first one before it went over the line. Still Kohls had 7 points not a bad night vs weak team.Thought the sophs and9th grader looked much more comfortable. Should have a good idea of what this team can do after Schwans. Goalie played very well for us.

10 goals allowed on 24 shots. Rough night for the goalie/goalies?

Pulled the first kid when it was4 to 0. FL coach did a nice job of matching up lines. Kohls/Frankin line was out vs St. Mike 2nd line all night. Good job by FL's Tyson line, handling the first.

Tonight 12-6-2011
Stillwater at Holy Angels
Both teams have struggled out of the gate. Holy Angels is down but this should be a decent early test for the Ponies after a disappointing tie against Park.
