This is a great northern hockey rivalry. Obviously the edge has to be given to Grand Rapids this year. Roseau has some excellent sophomore talent, but they'll need help from the defense and other lines if they're going to pull the upset.

Vote slanted to GR
I guess judging by the voting, people aren't expecting Roseau to win this one.

A lot of Rangers voting. That will generally skew the results of a Range-non Range matchup.RoseauHockeyFan wrote:I guess judging by the voting, people aren't expecting Roseau to win this one.

No. Chase got caught with chewing tobacco, and is ineligible until mid-January.Teak wrote:What happened with the Broten kid (Chase)? Sounds like a real team guy. Is the coach holding a spot for him? 3rd offense, does he have a brain?RoseauFan wrote:It was actually his 3rd offense.
Once the Rams learn that the defensive end is just as important as the offense end, they will really be tough. That is the one thing I've been most disappointed in so far. They tend to get a little lazy back there.

He's still able to practice with the team so I think he'll be able to get on a line when his ineligibility ends. I think this third strike cost him twelve weeks. Hopefully he doesn't get in any more trouble.mulefarm wrote:Sounds like a real team guy. 50+ years of Spuds Hockey
Pretty sure Broten will be playing with Ziegler and Gjovik which will be either their #1 or #2 line. Either way, should give Roseau a solid 1-2 punch as the sophs have played well so far and Ziegler and Gjovik have played much better these last two games although they will have to figure out how to stay out of the box.
Now, if only we can figure out how to not give up a goal in the final 30 seconds of the game as we have 3 of the first 4 games.
