White Bear Lake vs. Duluth East
A rematch of last years state quarterfinal game when WBL scored with seconds left... until the high sticking penalty lost their season. Dont know much about WBL this year, but East is unreal. Game is at Amsoil Arena (Home of UMD Bulldogs) @7:00pm.

I always wear my orange and black goggles, so let me be the only one taking the Bears here.
I'll go Bears - 4
East - 3
Definitely not putting any money down to back my confidence though.... lol
Realistically though it should show us a little bit about how good the Bears can be, hopefully they can skate with them and East doesn't just blow them out.

WBL started the game with an early goal. They finished the 2nd period with 2 goals on 5 shots. Nice goals though. East dominated the entire sheet and didn't allow many scoring chances until Randolph started mixing the lines in the 3rd. East's PP is very good. They seem to go deep and although they didn't look as well as I expected early on, they're still very good. It'll be interesting to see how the return of Olsen affects them.
WBL looks young, but there's definitely talent. I recognized some of the kids from last year. It just seemed tough for them to break up East's puck possession and to generate much themselves. Someone said earlier that they lack scoring punch, that's pretty much what I saw.
Overall though, better game than I thought it would be.
