Big Non- Conference Matchups Tonight In The SEC 12/22

Post by WHAFightingSaints »

Six teams are in action tonight with some big time non-conference matchups for Stillwater, Cretin, Roseville and White Bear Lake as they all face ranked teams.

Stillwater (4-0-2 overall) at Minnetonka (7-0-0) 7:00 Pagel Activity Center
Battle of unbeaten’ s, Ponies beat Skippers last season, Cates will have to be at his best for any chance of repeating last year’s upset.

Cretin-Derham Hall (3-4-0) vs. St. Thomas Academy (3-1-0) 7:00 State Fair Grounds Coliseum
Tough test for Cretin in this rival game, Raiders power play is excellent, penalty kill is awful, if they stay out of the box and draw some penalties who knows.

Forest Lake (4-3-0) at Cloquet/Esko/Carlton (6-3-0) 7:30 Cloquet Area Rec Center
Forest Lake faces a team that beat White Bear Lake earlier this year while the Rangers are coming off a loss to the Bears last Saturday, which along with the fact that they have struggled with trips up north doesn’t bode well, important 7AA matchup for seeding.

Farmington (3-3-0) at Park-Cottage Grove (3-3-1) 7:30 Cottage Grove Arena
The Wolfpack should stay undefeated in non-conference play with a win tonight.

Wayzata (5-2-1) at Roseville (6-1-0) 7:30 Roseville Arena
A proving game for the Raiders, a win keeps them in the Top 20 mix; a loss to the visiting Trojans probably pushes them out.

White Bear Lake (4-3-1) at Hill Murray (3-3-0) 7:30 Aldrich Arena
Both teams are down from previous years but that won’t matter tonight, the arena will be packed, get there early!

Maybe they should stay within thier conference rather than wonder off and play nonconference games. "If ya can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch."

Other than Hill and STA that must be the motto for the rest of the CSC with the teams embarrassingly weak non-conference scheduling.
