I would say there's a pretty good chance neither team will be undefeated when they meet.

I have a pretty good feeling both will :) maybe just being optimistic but what a match up it would be if they both are. guess it will be a great match up regardless.

MGC #1…

Have you been to many of the MG games this year? Have to tell you that there's no doubt that the NWSC is down compared to years past. Even though the score did not reflect it MG pretty much dominated Centennial through the first two periods. It's too bad they didn't finish off the game like they could/should have.

My point is we really do not know how good the Crimson are. I expect that BSM will be a great barometer as to where this team sits against a really good offensive team like BSM. If Gross and company can minimize their scoring punch then I think this team is the real deal.

Really looking forward to Tuesday night!!!

Regarding Hermantown - Minnesota-scores had them losing to Rogers 4-0. I will fix my earlier post

Shovel, I havent been to any game this year because of my schedule. Im hoping that after the new year things calm down a bit so i can get out and see some NWSC action in person. NWSC is down this year no doubt. I wouldnt sleep on Osseo in a game game setting. after MG, Blaine, Centenial, and Osseo, there is nothing there for section 5 at all. Elks, and Huskies are solid teams too so its not a weak year just not as strong as were used to.

IMO Andover is a middle of the pack team and as for Elk River their strength over the last few years has been between the pipes. That will continue this year as well. I do think they lack some of the fire power of years past. But as always they find a way to get it done year after year.

I guess my comments were based more on section 5AA then the NWSC as a whole. I do think that Elk River could be that Blaine team of their section. Always capable of knocking a team off come sections.

7AA reminds me of our sections of the past few years. 3 teams capable of knocking each other out come the sections. With Andover being the Osseo of 7AA.

If they both make it to the final and the game is then decided by a shootout, both teams will remain undefeated!

Well I'm personally routing for Tonka but I'd be very excited to see a shootout. Makes me wonder who each team would pick..

Im sure for East it would go Randolph-Toninato in no particular order but I am curious...Trevor Olson is still rehabbing his knee and not playing BUT he is dressed and on the bench... Would he get a spot in the shootout figuring he really wouldnt hurt his knee? (which should be almost ready to go anyway)
Go Hounds.

One more gone.... St Louis Park goes down with a thud, a 6-0 loss to Denfeld

After Tuesday's games

Maple Grove 8-0-1
Minnetonka 10-0
Duluth East 10-0
Moorhead 6-0
Breck 9-0
Hermantown 8-0

And as expected, Skippers vs. Greyhounds - both 10-0 - in the Schwann's Gold finals Wednesday.

Minnetonka creamed Edina 6-0 last night!

Their JV team finished undefeated last year, and I'm not so sure anyone is capable of beating this Varsity team the way they are playing right now.

Maple Grove, Duluth East and Moorhead are looking really good, too. But I dunno.. I think this Skippers team is for real!

moorhead looks good so far because they are 6-0, but look who they played. one game they gave up 8 shots and another 12 shots they haven't played the toughest schedule yet, but that will change soon then we will see how good they really are

Unless there is a tie tonight, either Minnetonka or Duluth East will have one loss.

These two teams are the top dogs...
