VERY disappointing!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to my STA team getting back on track today against what's sure to be a very motivated Edina team.

Then both teams must have been off. Surely, neither looked good.

Good to see Hill pull out another win after their loss against Tonka. I don't think that the score of the Tonka game was indicative of the team that Hill has, so it was great to see them get a win against another ranked team to give them some credibility. If they can keep getting production from their top two lines, and solid play from Dugas, they are going to be tough.

I went over to Blaine for a couple games today.
And I have never seen someone get out-coached as bad as Burnsville did today.
It is so obvious that he is trying his hardest to make three lines out of 6 players. There are 3 kids on that team that should not see the ice anywhere.
And it was evident in OT tonight.
I think a dad of a current Badger player must have threatened him.
And a coaches kid, who plays no D at all was on the ice for losing goal.
Whoever said a couple months ago, that this coach is one of the best coaches in MN is HIGH. I'll try to find it and post it later.
It's a good thing Section 2AA is down this year. They may be able to bumble their way to state.
Off to the Championship game.
Hopefully the coaches are better than this lame game.
Easy there big fella.
Its mid season.
Burnsville will be there in the end.

Please tell us why you made this post? Wasn't because of one game you decided to watch.

Hey O O,
It was on November 10th and you were agreeing with that person...see below

Coaches kid was not on the ice for the overtime goal. I guess you need to observe a little better especially if you are going to be making such harsh remarks against the coach and this players.
Interesting.
So the JV coaches kid was on the ice. He led the gold division in scoring with 5 goals and 3 assists according to the stats. He was the only player on the ice and was responsible for the goal?

The Pioneers responded well following the loss to Tonka. They have a solid team, but not an elite team this year. If everyone comes back next year, they will elevate back up to elite status and will be a threat to win it all.

Your response to that post...
I will agree with that also.
Hey O O,
No, I didn't change my name yet and yes there are times that I have changed my mind (although I don't usually flip flop month to month as you apparently do). Your original quote stated that you were going to 'find' who posted the comment that 'this coach is one of the best coaches in MN' and 'post it later' which implied that the guy was some sort of idiot that you were going to expose. I was merely trying to help you. The fact that you agreed with the quote at the time just made your current comment more interesting. Maybe next month if you 'observe' a good game by BV against someone you can talk about how good the coach is again.
Schwans Cup just goes to show how fun MN HS Hockey is. DE survives STA and Burnsville. Minnetonka blows out Edina. Then Minnetonka gets blown out by DE.
HM gets blown out by Minnetonka, then comes back to beat Burnsville who barely lost to DE.
All in all, a great tournament. Just goes to show you, quite often anything can happen.

My thoughts exactly. They'll lose a little bit of their scoring power in Sampair and Faust, but their defense is back next year, along with Dugas, and Guentzel, who could and should be a Mr. Hockey candidate. With the coaching that Hill has I think that they're a threat to win it all any year. 09, they lost 4 of their top players and almost beat EP in the first round, 2010, they lost to Tonka in 4OT, and last year, had a great season but came up just short to a hot White Bear team. Outside of Duluth East, I give them just as good of a shot as any other team in the state to win it all. We'll see how they can stack up against Eden Prairie, Eagan, and Moorhead in the second half of the season.
