I think the guy counting the shots was used to scoring basketball games.Stratal wrote:Rochester wins Gold division over Bloomington Jefferson 4-1

Rochester played to win and did it well, congrats to them, they deserve it.

It could not be the goalie's dad (or mom) from Rochester Red, that is for surekeepurheadup wrote:I think the guy counting the shots was used to scoring basketball games.Stratal wrote:Rochester wins Gold division over Bloomington Jefferson 4-1

Typical hatred for Rochester
Everyone can depend on certain people to slam Rochester and there program
Instead of giving credit where credit was due, you choose to take the low road and blame people you don't know...That must be the reason your kids are 3rd and 4th liners ...not because they don't work hard but because the coach doesn't like them.
Just a FYI it wasn't the goalies dad.
Ask the Bloomington coach and see what his take on the game was, you might be surprised.
Rochester Dominated in ALL facets of the game
and they beat a sound Bloomington team
Give Credit where credit is due

I'm not sure if your post was directed at me or what you're talking about above in reference to my kid, but you've got that all wrongStratal wrote:Everyone can depend on certain people to slam Rochester and there program

Whoever was counting the shots in the game either, didn't know what a shot technically is, needed glasses, or was padding the shots for Rochester. That sort of thing happens all the time. The real shots were about 21/15.
I don't need to talk to the coach about why Bloomington didn't win. Here are some of the reasons, TIFWIW.
- Rochester beat the Jag's in the neutral zone for most of the first 2 periods, pressured the puck very well and did a good job at keeping the puck in the jag's zone resulting at times in long shifts, defense breakdowns and good scoring opportunities for unselfish players.
- Rochester played their top 10-12 kids for the majority of the game.
- The officiating was pretty fair for most the game, but was tilted in favor of Rochester. Who knows if this would've really made a difference, but there were times it could have, .e.g. when the Ref dropped the puck before the Jag center was in Rochester's circle and they were on the PK.
- Jag's couldn't capitalize on scoring opportunities, which they had several of.
- Jag's rolled their lines.
- The level of effort could've been better for the Jag's .
Rochester scored a goal each period, with an empty netter at the end. Jag's had 1 in the 3rd. IMO, That doesn't equate to "Dominated in ALL facets of the game and they beat a sound Bloomington team". Both teams played well, the Jag's could've played better and it wasn't their best game.
Rochester has some talent on their team, and if they play to win, can play with any of the top 5.

Give Credit where credit is due. I did give Rochester credit and don't have anything against their program.

You must have issues counting too
Rochester rolled there whole team (3 lines) and (6 D) and I now a certain ex Gopher Goalie was counting the shots and score keeping so im pretty sure the shot count was correct.
The dropping of the puck was after the whistle and a slow change by Jefferson ..There coach said that after the game , He took blame for that.
The Jaguars had 3 PPs and Red Had 4
Jags had 4 shots on the PP and Red had 10
The one thing you are correct on was that Jefferson didnt put forth a good effort that I will agree with

I don't have any issues counting real shots, i.e. when the shot would've resulted in a goal if the goalie hadn't interfered. Maybe the ex gopher goalie has a kid on the team or is in need of glasses or had a bad angle? IDK, but what you claim for shots is not even close...Stratal wrote:You must have issues counting too

You can claim that RR rolled their lines, but running them 1212123, isn't rolling.
We all know that if RR was slow getting to the circle the ref would've waited. That was just one example. There were other's but again, who knows if that would've made it difference, my only point was that it could have. Again, what you claim as "dominated every aspect of the game" is simply NOT the case.

Maybe your issue with counting, is that you just add 10?Shortsidegoal wrote:Outshot 22-3 .... Definitely not the same game i watched. Shots we're pretty even in the third period and LVS completely dominated the game in the first two periods probably putting on close to 30 shots in the 1st and 2nd while rochester maybe had 10 shots over the same period.Stratal wrote:
Rochester needs some praise here they played in the toughest bracket got beat by PL soundly and tied Wayzata and Lakeville South and out shot Lakeville south 22-3 in the 3rd period if it wasnt for the Lakeville Goalie Lakeville wouldnt have made Sunday. Im just sayin
In the end the shots were to 2+ to 1 in favor of LVS. Take off the homer glasses here. Rochester is a good team probably around the 15-20 range in the state but LVS dominated that game. Some great saves by the rochester goalie and a few nice plays by the kids playing D are the only reason it wasn't a 5 goal game...

There are games when it appears a team is rolling their lines 111111! Also, the reason for the puck drop was Jefferson called a 1 minute time-out and the coach was still drawing out plays when RR was lined up 2 minutes later. The Ref blew his whistle and said come on. Then dropped the puck. I'd have called delay of game instead of dropping the puck.

Jefferson was ranked 18th going in 15-10-2 (27 games)
Rochester Red was ranked 20th going in 4-6-4 (14 games)

Why is Rochester only showing 14 games? Is that accurate?

I get why it happened, my point is that it wouldn't have happened at all if the tables were turned. Also, that was just one example, there was a clear hook for about 5-7 seconds the Ref watched in the second and never called. In the 3rd, a slight 1 second hook occurred on an RR player and it was immediately called. The officiating was in RR's favor, but again, hard to say if that would've made a difference in the end.BadgerBob82 wrote:keepurheadup:
