Ohhhh that's right....ER beat GR in OT and Andover beat ER in OT, so GR at best will be the number 4 seed come sections. Maybe if Cloquet beats GR tonight they'll fall to the 5th seed.
Rapids with the W, 3-2 Final. It sounded like GR dominated the play of the game but the CEC goalie stood tall making key saves and keeping it close; 36 saves on 39 shots.
Grand Rapids, Elk River, and Andover are fighting for the 2-3 seeds. It will be interesting to see if any of these three teams have a head scratching loss down the stretch that pencils them in at #4. 7AA is turning out to be the deepest section in the state.

Yes, I would have to agree! Throw out the No1 in both 6AA and 7AA and GR, ER, Andover are much better than EP, BSM, Wayzata.

Here we go again...
From a statistical (PageStat) standpoint, it is. Six teams with a rating of 19.50 or higher. 1AA has two, 2AA has three, 3AA has two, 4AA has three, 5AA has three, 6AA has four, 8AA has two. 7AA also has the highest average rating of any section in the state.
6AA can claim that their top four are better than 7AA's top four, but that doesn't really equate depth, because after you get past the fourth spot, it drops way off (Holy Family Catholic is rated fifth)

Lee
And Section 8AA has the toughest 10 seed...
Does it really matter after the top 4 seeds? When was the last time a 5th seed or higher made it to state?
