Possibly would have been a blow out, but we will never know.shotpassskate wrote:Holy Angels 3 New Prague 4 final.
I also just heard that the AHA game at Shattuck is canceled. Zamman any insight?
Besides the basic statements that this game would be a blow out, why would they not play?
Yes from what I heard the game has been cancelled due to injuries on both teams.
A side note to the game tonight. I believe that this is the first time that New Prague has beaten AHA. Nice win for the Trojans.

Zamman.... One of our former assistant coaches said his brother was on the last team to beat Holy Angels - in 1990. I will see what I can do to verify that. Credit to Holy Angels, they didn't quit when down by two goals in the final minute, scoring when shorthanded by two guys with 37 seconds left and then Morris making a great save with 10 seconds left when AHA could have tied it.
I was suprised at how cheap AHA started playing in the last minute - seems like they forgot they had a chance......hockeydad wrote:Zamman.... I was a little surprised too, but I noticed the HA coaches really lay into the players after the last penalty, and after that they got back to business. I was impressed at the restraint NP players had. HA had a chance at a power play after a NP kid took a slashing penalty, but they went after him took a roughing call and it ended up as incidentals. Penatly box for HA was a little crowded at the end of the game with four players, and two for NP.
