Huh??? We can ignore the good players "we'll hold them back in the winter and then they can continue their development in the summer". Just crank the door wide open for winter AAA hockey (non-association).

Bernie just chuckled!!!
Were the A Squirts in a competitive environment when they had two goals scored on them all of last season? Seems they were held back to me.....

Where do you stand?

Are you exaggerating or do you really believe they only had 2 goals scored on them "all of last season"??

Yes, you are wrong. Do you still believe they gave up two goals "all of last season

Keep throwing crap at the wall in an effort to see what sticks. Most people on this "bored" try to deal in the world of facts (even with divergent opinions), not made-up stats.

Again, yes, you are wrong......I'm "bored" with you.

To all hockey dads: Don't live through your squirt, peewee, or bantam for that matter...As the years go on, youth sports really become less significant to the kids who actually played them.
I've read this or a variation of this for years now on this board. It seems like it could be serious. So I am wondering, how can I tell if I am living vicariously through my hockey player? Are there signs?

I may have gotten lost in the fog as well, but, if the question was "how many goals did the greatest Squirt A team in histroy give up last year?" then the answer may very will be two. It was certainly no more than five. So, the question remains: "Was this a worthwhile experience for the top 15?" Or would the association have served the greater good by doing two even SQA teams and let the greatest squirt coach in histroy walk?

Is that what it came down to ? The coach of 3rd &4th graders said he would no longer coach if they[Edina] had two squirt teams? What a joke!! Let him go!! If I remember correctly they have 15 or twenty ex-pros around anyway.

That is NOT the question.....the question was "did he really believe they only gave up two goals all of last season".

As for your question, we all have different opinions. In my opinion, they should have had 2 SQA teams last year, not this year or the next.

I love it when a coach says he will walk if it isn't done their way. Just tell him that average joe is now the coach, they will be back before the second hand moves more than a few clicks. Can you imgine having a Tom chorske coaching instead of jungles? May only have two ice times a week end which would probably ruin their "development".

Quite sure Nevers/Hank/Chorske could have handled it.[not to mention the other 12 ex-pros]

Would 1 or 3 be any different for a season? The only "crap" is on your face.

Better ask around bud.

I like how you totally changed your tune saying, "they should of had two teams last year".

Well, not that it matters, but a quick search shows they gave up 4 in Fargo (2 to Mound Westonka and 2 to STMA), so I would say they gave up more than 5 all year, and certainly more than 2. Again, it really makes no difference to the point being made.

I'm getting lost here. What is the point being made?

The only point that seems clear to me is that the Bo Dangles, Ben Dangle and all the Little Dangles clearly have an axe to grind with the Edina Squirts.
