BSM vs Moorhead 1-27-12

Post by MNhky12 »

Two very good teams going at it for the second time. Benilde getting the best of the spuds in the holiday classic with a heart breaking goal to take the lead with just a little over a minute left in the game. Can Benilde do it again or will the spuds get revenge?

I got bsm in this game. With Besse scoring punch and labosky play making ability, i got all bsm 5-1

Moorhead wins this one 4-3 as Bitzer stands tall against BSM's potent offense.

Watching the game live on Hockey Hub...Ken Pauly is embarrassing himself to an extreme after that coincidental call. Show some class like Moorhead's coach please.

BSM is a great example of a team taking on the personality of their coach. Severe lack of emotional control on the ice and on the bench.

Yup, I saw the same. Pauley is, at the end of the day, a poor sport. It is reflected in all of the cheap shots and occasional penalties that his team got in this game. Bitzer stood strong and tall against the cheap shots (e.g., Horton elbow as he skated by).

Moorhead clearly outclassed Benilde in this 6-2 win.
Morinville clearly outclassed Pauley.

Go northwest!

BSM back to the old ways ..Crying, cheap, hackers when they start to lose..Just a crappy display of any kind of passion or sportsmanship in the 3rd period by BSM. Jumping on the goalie, elbowing him when they cant score... Congrats to Moorehead for playing a great game.

I'm just excited to hear Pauly's excuses as to why they lost the game. They're always interesting...we'll be sure to hear how they're still a top 5 team even with 5 losses and no wins over any team in the current top 5....

It was "all BSM" (in the penalty box).

Besse was the only one that could get anything past Bitzer & that wasn't near enough. Bitzer stonewalled the rest of the Knights.

Sorry, your numbers weren't even close. I think Elliott wins this poll.

Why all the hatred?

Usually directed against Christian schools?

Prefer your crosses broken?

Just curious.

No hatred. I watched a hockey game and saw very poor behaviour from one coach, and very mature behaviour from the other. I have no axes to grind or crosses to break. Maybe it is time to call some of these hot-head coaches into accountability. I mean, it's just a game, eh?

Trying to lock up your second discussion topic in less than a week with a completely unjustifiable and inflammatory remark? Well, bless your heart!

If this was an on-line political discussion, I'd just assume that you were somebody from the other side of the ideological spectrum that was trying to shut it down by baiting other posters with trollish remarks.

So you're a basketball fan, huh?

Another outstanding post by reaper.

We're not hating your school, we're just admiring the solid defense, goaltending, effort, and emotional control shown by the Spuds. BSM has tons of talent and if they ever start to play as a team they will be dangerous.

Please don't ever leave this message board reaper, your posts are the wind beneath my wings. :D

I just ask legitimate questions.

Why the hatred usually directed at Christian schools?

Why so many "I hate private" or "no private" posts?

Anyone seen any "I hate public" or "no public" posts coming from Christians?

Just curious.

1. There is no direct hatred toward Christian schools, just private schools in general.

2. People hate private schools because of the belief they recruit (every private/public program does in some way BTW). And people feel they are entitled to have the same players that develop in their youth program (blame the parents and the players that transfer if you ask me).

3. Statistics show that 60% to 76% of the American population classify themselves as Christian. With that in consideration, I would confidently state that some Christians on this forum bash public schools.

Setting aside my answers to your questions, there is no reason nor motive to include religion on this topic nor on this forum. (Maybe the Cafe, but I doubt Lee, Karl or Mitch would allow that without a tight leash. )

We're discussing hockey, and not religious biases. Religion = Moot topic.

So sit back and talk about hockey, Tim Tebow.

Once again.....you don't get it. None of us are hating on the school or it's religious affiliation. We are making an observation about the coaching methods of both teams and how both teams respond to adversity.

Moorhead gets down in the first period and that only ignites the fire to score...and they end up doing so. Benilde gets down and all hell breaks loose on the bench and on the ice, especially when time became an issue in the third period.

The major difference between these two teams, as mentioned earlier, is that Moorhead played as a complete team last night. We aren't saying that we hate Benilde, we are saying that their performance last night lacked the class that Moorhead's did. If Benilde can handle their emotions, they will be a deadly team come sections.
