1991 Sectional Final Game Duluth East Cloquet (DECC)

1991 my Senior year at Cloquet I was in the stands with the flu at the (DECC) Cloquet's the late Ryan Plante hit the crossbar from the top of the circle in overtime in a <br>2-2 game if I remember right I think East's goalie was Cade Ledingham the puck then bounced of the crossbar to East's Rusty Fitzgerald a transfer from Silver Bay he came down on a breakaway and put a great shot over Cloquet's goalie Cory Kubus over the stick side hit the top of the pipe and crossbar right inth the top right corner and went in East won 3-2. <br><br>A game recap from the past !!!<br><br>Cloquet would go on to the state tourney in 92,93 in the<br>Jamie Langenbrunner years <p></p><i></i>

Wade Salzman, a junior, was the goalie for Duluth East that year. He went on to play at Nortre Dame. I was at that game and it was a great one. There was a lot of skill on both teams. East ended up blowing a 2 or 3 goal lead (I think)to Hill-Murray in the State title game. <p></p><i></i>

another Game Recap from the Section 8A finals. Can't remember the year, 96 maybe. Roseau's defenceman fell down at the blue line Gave up the puck to Warroad's Martell who came in on a break away and won the game for Warroad. <p></p><i></i>
