Very good analysis NWSC Puck and will be interested in seeing how the season ends for all teams in the sections. Will make for a great section 7AA tournament in quarterfinals and beyond.
As for the slyer, your comments are just cheap talk. Minnetonka played Hibbing to a 3 -1 final this year so it looks like a high caliber program like Minnetonka still values playing a "lowly" single A school.

You're reaching for quality wins rapids...ER beat Blaine, Centennial, tie Eden Prairie and Centennial. and plays a much tougher schedule than GR. Plus beat the greatest HS team of all time - The GR Indians. Sorry to ruin your cute little northern section final, but DE 1, AND 2, ER 3, GR 4.rapidsrapids wrote:Elk River's quality win outside section 7: Blaine. Yep, 1 game.
Grand Rapids quality wins outside section 7: Roseau, Warroad, Bemidji, Bemidji, Duluth Marshall, White Bear Lake, Hibbing. Looks a bit lopsided to me.

I find the seedings odd, considering the only team that gave East a run for their money ( in a equally solid game for both teams ) was GR, and now they are a 3, and even 4 seed? ranked higher in the state than Andover or ER and still a 3-4 seed? hmmmmmm
East handled Andover and CEC the first time around, but CEC looks to have improved quite a bit, so Im interested to see how they fair the 2nd time around.. love that they are having East/CEC @ Amsoil

MMA, Gr gave East a run for the money? East was missing their #1 goalie and 2 of their top players. those 3 play and East wins that game 5-1DuluthMMA wrote:I find the seedings odd, considering the only team that gave East a run for their money ( in a equally solid game for both teams ) was GR, and now they are a 3, and even 4 seed? ranked higher in the state than Andover or ER and still a 3-4 seed? hmmmmmm

I know it is a news flash for you but G-Rapids has not been healthy all season either. Easy to make outlandish statements (5-1, yeah right). A mind is a terrible thing to waste!Usthockey13 wrote:MMA, Gr gave East a run for the money? In the end, all of these section teams have to lace up their skates and play the game (regardless of venue) and see where the dust settles. It's certainly fun to go back and forth, but kind of silly to annoint a section champ yet solely on past games- different line combinations, injuries, illness, development, officiating, etc. The puck has a tendency to bounce funny sometimes during playoff games.
