Duluth Area Hockey

Post by greenway1969 »

The Twin Ports has to be ranked #1 in high school hockey. Duluth East is ranked #1 in AA, Hermantown #1 in A, and Superior is ranked #2 in Wisconsin. Duluth Marshall is also a contender and seeded #1 in Section 7A. Cloquet is also a team capable of pulling a major upset in 7AA.

That information makes Twin Ports ranked #1? :?

Just those five teams?

I foresee a Metro vs. Northern Flannel argument in the near future...

I would say considering the Duluth area is drawing from a population of around 100,000 the production from those teams far exceeds a comparable population in the metro. The metro has what a population of 3 million?

I know HShockeywatcher loves the comparisons; we could say that makes Superior equal to #-o his St Thomas team that lost to Duluth East.
