Louie Nanne inury and status
Anyone know what his status is? He's missed the last two games and am wondering if he's out for the year.

It can be a big deal. We're in section playoffs and missing players can change outcomes. It seems players used to return after 5-7 days. Now they are almost always out for a month, or more, or until their Impact test scores are back to normal. Without passing the Impact test they can't return to play.Who cares? Geez, should we start posting everyone who receives a concussion?

Totally agree, totally understand. What I was trying to get across was every player on every team has a role in the game. Whether it's a 3rd line player or a 1st line player. The 3rd liner may have a totally different objective in the game vs. the 1st liner. Every player is every bit important come playoff time. You never know when a players opportunity arises due to injuriesobserver wrote:It can be a big deal. We're in section playoffs and missing players can change outcomes. That just simply is not true. I agree that each player has a role and can have an impact on the result of the game. The 3rd liner that steps up with a big goal can really give a boost to their team. However, the 1st liners are asked to carry their teams. That is why the skill set of the 3rd liner is much easier to replace than that of the 1st liner.blueliner5 wrote:Totally agree, totally understand. Not gonna make any diff on outcome of their games anyway. Who cares?
What happened, did he take the slot you were hoping for on the Gophers, or was that for your son?
Not bitter at all. No reason to be. Just speaking the truth. Edina doesnt need Nanne to win. He's irrelevant. Lots of rumors he's going to play jrs. Next yr. Well it's not gonna be any better for Louie than HS was. I got money saying he never steps on the ice for gophers. If he does, I seriously would question Lucia and staff
Sats, I'd be lying if I said some of the same thoughts you've having hadn't also crossed my mind - a forward who commits before his junior year, and has a famous last name, has five assists all year long? - but this is a high school kid we're talking about. Even if there was any sort of undue pressure put on Lucia to recruit him (and I have no idea what actually happened, which I'd guess is the case for everybody posting on here), I'm sure the kid himself had nothing to do with it. Was he supposed to say he didn't want to play there? If there's anyone to "blame" here, it's not a 17-year-old kid, and I do think we ought to avoid getting carried away with criticizing him and his game.

Oh no! How did you find out?!gray5 wrote:you have some good points on nanne but who are you to say.
Your prb some wash-up 3rd liner who plays for a private school in single A.
Even if I was, what does that have anything to do with my point on Nanne having validity or not? Your post clearly shows your ignorance. Don't bother responding to me, its worthless now.
Yeah. I agree. However, at the end of the day it is what it is. He's an average HS player with not a lot of upside. That is the bottom line. I hope he proves me wrong.xy wrote:Sats, I'd be lying if I said some of the same thoughts you've having hadn't also crossed my mind - a forward who commits before his junior year, and has a famous last name, has five assists all year long? - but this is a high school kid we're talking about. Wow. That's great. Glad he did it against a team that didn't even reach double digits in wins. This is how he is expected to produce on a night in and night out basis when you commit to one of the best college hockey programs in the country before your Junior season even begins.C-dad wrote:Louie played today and had 2 goals and an assist before I left the rink. second goal was really pretty - especially for an "average" player. Did a nice job on the PK too. Seemed like he won every faceoff he took.
The kid comes back from a concussion and scores two and assists on one, and that's disappointing to you? Sorry he's not living up to your expectations, Sats.Sats81 wrote:Wow. That's great.
