Check the final Krach. I think a team as loaded as Roseville should have scheduled more than 2 of the top 15 teams. Congratulations, they had a heck of a year. Time to reload

With Park leaving the SEC they will get 2 extra non-conference games next year--that will help. Hopefully Roseville will be able to schedule someone like Mtka, HM, Anoka, BSM, etc. Plus MV and Stillwater will be very good next year, as well as Eastridge. Eastridge should be very strong the next couple years.

It's a definite that BSM is leaving the North Suburban Conference for BOYS HOCKEY and I'm wondering if they decide to do the same with the girls? If so, going independent would free up their schedule to play some of the better teams on the east side, like MV, Stillwater and Roseville.

That would need to be a huge improvement from this year. Not saying it can't be done and they probably have a good coach now, but they were 2-13-3 in the SEC this year, won 5 regular season games, and were 65th in the overall KRACH rankings. Do they have some good 14U's coming up?

By the way, where is Park going?

Park is joining the Classic Suburban.
Eastridge was young this year. The team had two seniors with one point between them. Many of their 'impact' players are sophomores and freshman. One goalie is a junior, the other a freshman. Word is that almost all U14 players from the Woodbury/Cottage Grove co-op are choosing to attend Eastridge. Both youth programs have been very good the last 5 years but they were getting split into 3 HS programs. Now that they're able to choose schools, look for Eastridge to get good quickly.

It will take time for Park to move conferences. Classic Suburban is sitting with 9 schools already and maybe they don't want them.

Unless enrollment declines, Park will still have to play up the AA hockey tier.

Isn't Park is the last of 32 team 6A football conference. Ouch.

Every one of these sentences is very confusing. All for different reasons.

You have recieved bad information on both subjects. IF Park moves conferences, and that's a big if, the earliest it would happen is 2013-2014.

South Washington County students are not allowed to freely choose their high school and it is a big stretch to imply that if they could, that the female hockey players would choose Eastridge in any significant numbers. Eastridge is currently closed to open enrollment. There are a lot of "young teams with talented players" that fair much better than the Raptors did this season. In most of them, they were crushed.

I think I've got very good information.
If not though, I still think Eastridge will be way better in the near future starting next year. You sound bitter about that.....

Yes, it does bother me when people make false statements and present them as fact. You can think your information is very good, but the facts are that Park will play in the Suburban East Conference next year, and the school board has issued the policy that Eastridge High School is closed to open enrollment. Clear and simple facts.

Regarding the level of future play from the Raptors, you are entitled to your opinion, and it is just that.

Otter you don't have good information. If you live in the South Washington County district you can't choose which school you want to attend. They have boundaries that we have to abide by. If you want to attend East Ridge you must live in that schools boundary. Enrollment is closed. It just happens that East Ridge has more girls U14 players living in their boundaries now. And the soonest Park could join the Classic Suburban is the 2013-2014 season but the school board must first approve the change which I think they will.

Time will tell. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out for Park CG, Wdby, and ER. Park was in with many of the Classic Sub teams for years in the old Sub Conf. So - I could see that fitting again assuming all parties are on board. That aside, do Wdby and ER have essentially equivalent facilities at Bielenberg? If so - that wouldn't be a deciding factor for a player's family considering their options (if they even exist - but moving always does exist). I suppose ER is an impressive actual school building. I was there and toured a bit when it first opened. Impressive. Haven't been in Wdby HS for years and same with Park CG. Any renovations there recently?
