Pretty positive that there were some great and deserving players missed on this list. Who picks it.

football:

I would have to agree with your assumption. I believe this is the coaches choices to make the teams.

Everybody cannot be all-state this is a great list. Also there are always a few kids who are not eligible because of violations and those are usually not made public.

The coaches association selects the players. Before you question the people, you may want to understand the process. This isn't based soley on hockey ability, although that plays a huge part. "no I'm not involved"

School, GPA, community activity and hockey skills are a few of the things that go into the selection process.

Interesting that not all Ms Hockey candidates made this list..

No matter who makes the selection or what the process consists of, people will believe someone has been left out.

Congrats to all the girls listed above. Something to be proud of for sure.

Are you kidding me?? This is like 65-70 kids. Maybe we should add 25 more to the list. Its already watered down to begin with.

Quit complaining people!

A great list of players, but about 11 teams' worth. I say 1st, 2nd, 3rd teams and HM and that's plenty.

It looks like some kids made it because their coaches were on the board. Good for them but you missed some deserving players. If you can't get it right don't bother. :(

So, clearly, your list would be "right"? Very classless post.

Congrats to all the players! Listed or not, a very talented and entertaining group of players.

Are my eyes deceiving me or is that big offensive player from Breck not on the list? Can't think of her name... anyway, even though she didn't have a great tourney the most effortless player I saw there was Megan Wolfe.

She'll be joining McMillen and Brandt at Minnesota in the fall.

Maybe you can enlighten us with the selection guidelines, and how many coaches were part of the selection process?

That's a quality list: 10 known D-I commits in class A and 9 in class AA. Regardless of how long the list is, there will be disputes on the second tier of players as it's hard to differentiate. I know the coaches spend a great deal of time working through this and though not perfect, there are some checks and balances to keep it objective. Congratulations girls!

Can someone within Breck share why Milica was not on the all-state list? There just must be a reason. Right? :)
