...is the time you can spend with each team over the course of a weekend including the consolation bracket. Now you either have to chose the winners brackets in A or go to Mariucci for AA consolation.
This year might be different for me though. If Lakeville South loses I'd probably head to Mpls to see Kloos play again.

One thing rarely mentioned is the effect the two class system has had on section play. In the 80's metro section finals regularly filled the Met Center. Sections 1 and 3 on Friday night, sections 5 & 6 on Saturday afternoon. Section 5 & 6 semifinals were held at the Met. They didn't sell out but crowds were too big for other arenas. Section 3 semis were held at the Coliseum and did sell out; it was separate admission, too. One game at 4PM AND THE OTHER AT 8PM.
Now those sections (renumbered somewhat) hold semi finals at Braemar and BIG.
It was kind of sad to see the paltry crowd at the Coliseum Friday night for the Hill-Roseville game. Granted this Hill team isn't great and Roseville was un-ranked all season. But the building wasn't close to full even when the fans began to arrive for the second game between two very large schools.

I beg to differ...there were people standing at the top as others were arriving for the second game...I thought it was pretty full...

There were people standing around the top but there were also seats open. But my point stands. In the 80's one class era the seats were 90% or better filled in the 15,000+ seat Met Center. I believe the Coliseum holds around 6,500; I know it's less than 7K.
The Hill-Roseville crowd was easily less than the last few Hill-WBL finals.

And a horrible venue to watch hockey in.
