AA Consolation tickets

Post by sparty »

For years now, I've bought the AA ticket packet from MSHSL and have never used the consolation tickets. $48 is essentially paid to MSHSL for nothing. Anyone else feel cheated into buying these every year? What do you do with your tickets?

I feel like that too, I usually try and find families that I know at some of the schools in the tournament and give them away if their team loses. Otherwise I know guy who played with my dad back in the day and he buys and sells tickets so I give them to him, he at least has the patience to stand outside and try to salvage something for them.

But I agree, that's $48 for games that a vast majority of season ticket holders, including myself won't go to. It's kind of a bummer that of the $189 I pay year in and year out, $48 of it is wasted on worthless consolation tickets.

I actually sell mine outside the Coliseum when they win their section. Able to get $10 over face value easily.
