Had East won the tournament, it would have been between them, the 94-95 team and the 97-98 team. I would actually lean toward the 97-98 team because of who they had to beat along the way. Elk River (on a huge roll at the time) in the 7AA final, then three of the other top four teams in the state tournament. They did it without any superstars (unless you consider Finnegan and Angell to be such), two very solid lines and probably the best defensive foursome they've ever had. That team only lost one game (on ice, they forfeited their first two wins) all season.duluth dave wrote:I would have to say DE they looked like they thought all they had to do was show up and win. Lakeville hit 3 pipes or it would have been worse. 'greatest east team ever' I would give the nod to the Spehar Locker team.

Finnegan would've been a huge high school superstar if he stayed at Easteast hockey wrote:Had East won the tournament, it would have been between them, the 94-95 team and the 97-98 team.
