In 2011, a great season led to a completely forgettable 4th place finish. Which team shows up this year? I think they overperformed this season, and they'll get taken down hard by a BSM team that's finally running on all cylinders. The only reason I can think Edina got the seed is because they're coming from first seed in the second weakest section.

But I like this match-up for BSM's sake, even if the seeders wear green. Probably the easiest quarter final of 2A.

BSM 6 - Edina 2
wow well in my opinion it is the 4th hardest, im guessing your saying 1AA is last but then what about 3AA? Eagan is a great team but they played Rosemount, Park and hastings to go to state. i think 4AA is worse and same with 8AA but obviously you could make a argument saying 2AA is worse but Burnsville is not a bad team and i think if they would have beat edina nobody would have taken them lightly in state so i don't see how 3AA could be better when the best team Eagan played in sections lost to them by 6

Edina doesnt have any studs. Studs go to private schools. BSM 5-3. The pastor prays for jabs.

This could be the best game of the whole tournament. Edina has experience and ballance, BSM has great top end tallent. I will always side with experience and depth over who has top end tallent. This will be tight, but when it goes into OT, which I believe it will, the experience and depth will prevail.

Prediction...
Hornets 4
Knights 3
At leats 2 over times, maybe more... Could be a late night at the X!

I am saying a 2-2 tie and they play so many overtimes they have stop and move it elsewhere to make room for the Breck/STA game

First time I've seen Benilde this season. Interesting team. Plays with a bit of an "edge".

Its hilarious
Louie can't even pretend to be impartial.
He grunts and moans like a cow in heat every time Edina starts a rush.
Don't let him do his grandkids games ... its not that tough.

I did not know that Miguel Fidler was Mike Fidler's son. Mike only played for the North Stars for a couple of years - didn't know he stuck around here.

I suppose I could pay attention to this fantastic game we have going on here. Though that was an awful call on the Nanne penalty.

I was more surprised that they called it charging. I thought it was going to be a 5 minute major for boarding.

Should have been a 5 min boarding call on Nanne. Even Lou said he was lucky it wasn't 5 min. And what was Giles whining about?

I happened to watching the ref when he made the call and it appeared he wanted to see if he stayed down or not before he made the call.

For the first time I can remember I'm cheering for Edina.

I really don't want to see a championship game between H-M and BSM, I won't go and I remember back in 2002 and the morgue that was the AHA-Hill final game.

Not a make-up call. A player cannot leave their feet to make a play on the puck and come in contact with an opponent. It was the right call. They completely missed the boarding on Edina. BSM shouldve had a 5 min PP.

Shouldn't matter. Reason he didn't signal right away, he was thinking about it. He knew that was boarding, but didn't want to call it.
