Still would have loved to see a Wayzata vs Edina championship. Not taking anything away from Edina, they are an amazing team, but i still believe Wayzata was the best team. Had a little hiccup against EGF at the wrong time, but what are ya gonna do? Fantastic season for every one! It will be exciting seeing these teams matchup in a couple years

What, do you think the six players who were eligible for this team but ended up playing varsity for Edina, BSM and Holy Angels would have made a difference?

Maybe the B1s would have played for the ship instead of the consolation (like happened two years ago in PW).

"best team in the state by far"

Congrates to Edina for winning the State Championship. Many things have to go right to win the MN Bantam A Title (team health, game match-ups, bounces from the hockey gods, excellent goaltending, team chemistry, and play execution.)

But "best team in the state by far" is a little exaggerated dont you think! They were arguably not even the best team in D6. They finished 4th in D6 play and 3rd in D6 playoffs. Two tough one goal regional wins over D6 opponents EP & B'ville got them to State.

How about, best Regional & State playoff run !!! Nice job Edina. [/quote]

I didn't think Edina would be able to over come all the departures but man did they ever, my hats to them.
