Saturday Prelim Scores:
District 8 - 8

Goals Scored By: First Half #37 (Shanley) Second Half #20 (Roth), #23 (Novak), #17 (Hammer), #7 (McDonald), #11 (Choporov), #3 (Swaney), #16 (Storholm)
District 8 Controlled the play from the get go, making smooth passing plays but just missing the finish in the first half of play, with the only goal coming from #37 (Shanley). District 4 did get a golden chance on a breakaway in the first half but D8 goaltender #47 (Driscoll) came out and challenged the shooter and made the save (1 of 3 saves he made)
The second half started out like the first half with D8 controlling the play but just missing the finish. Finally #20 (Roth) scored to open the flood gates for D8 and the team piled 7 total second half goals. D8 goaltender #49 (Swail) only had to make 5 or 6 saves in the second half.
Overall D8 was the better team and now will play D9 in Kasson on Sunday.
