staubar has nothing to do with the selection process i made the 17s team last year and eventually to the final 51 and i thought that the results were very accurate i dont think stauber really cares about the money cause he has plenty of it. I have never attended one of his camps and never plan to he is creating the exact same goalie with every person that goes through there they all have the same weaknesses and strengths what is wrong with just being able to stop the puck!

Thats where your wrong, ive been around staubers schools for a little bit of time now and its just the oppisite. Im not going to try and convince you otherwise though, you are the one missing out on some of the best goaltending instruction in North America.

Wow....Stauber creates all the same kind of goalies, huh? I would largely disagree with that statement. He has some goalies who like to play the puck (So. St. Paul's Stalock) and then he has goalies who are more conservative; he has goalies who dominate with the butterfly and others who dominate high...he has them all.

I would however disagree that simply because you are a Stauber trained goalie you are an automatic 'in' to the selects or elites. His training can assist you in getting there, but it won't get you there all on its own.

There are some errors made in the selection process too, by the way.....maybe they made an error when selecting you, eh? Give it up...don't knock training that you know nothing about.

stauber goalies' similarities

Post by live4hcky »

i can see how goalies with the same teacher can develop the same strengths and weaknesses. my question is what are they and who are the goalies who exhibit these similarities.

conversely, good athletes will always develop their own style even if they were tought the same methods. example: Roy and Giguere had the same coach. they have many similarities, but also have their own unique twists on how they play.
