Grand Rapids (5-1) @ Edina (6-0) 12-20-12 8:30pm
The last two year this match up has produced a one goal game with each winning one of them. With a combined record of 11-1 at this point, this should be a quality game.

I hope Bischoff plays, I know a lot of people would like to see him and Avery Peterson both play this weekend. This will be a test for the Hornets, GR plays a tough hard nosed scrappy style usually. The thing about Edina is I think they can play both the finesse game and they can play the hard nosed scrappy game as well.
im not completely sold that the hornets will win since they have had a long break and that worries me a little but i hear all this talk about don't rule out GR, there goalie can keep them in any game. but don't forget about the hornets D and Benjamin! in 6 games there averaging less than 1 goal a game against them but averaging 5 goals and 40 shots per game, as someone said earlier edina can play the finesse game or the physical game but besides that they can also play defensively and offensively at the same time, there not sacrificing one for the other so if edina come out strong, GR will have to step up offensively compared to the teams that have lost to edina or shut down Edina's offensive. And with The likes of Reno and Nelson on D and Benjamin in net, and then Hurley, Malmquist and jordahl at forward, both tasks seem quite difficult
Im going 4-2 or 5-2 Edina

Someone said it probably wouldn't be until January in a post last week, though I don't have anything more current.gitter wrote:Any word on when Bischoff is supposed to be back?TheHockeyDJ wrote:I would have thought that before the season, however, with Shepard in goal Rapids can beat anyone on a given night.Crimson Live wrote:i dont think gr can win w/o bischoff... or is he playing now? ill go edina 6-2

No shame in losing to #1 ranked Edina. However, there is shame in the lack of effort. I was shocked at how pathetic the work ethic was. The defensemen took terrible angles all night. Doesn't help to spot Edina a goal with a bounce of their own defensemen's shin pad. Hopefully this will be a learning experience and stepping stone towards improvement. The game against Elk River is must win. Rapids drops that game and they can plan being on the road as a 6 seed, Forest Lake would be 5. At least Rapids can say they got routed by #1 Edina, not unranked Cretin Durham Hall.
