Now I know where the concept of "mercy banning" came from.

Yep, I think most folks have figured out by now that his comments lack credibility and any real substance. Its good comedy sometimes though, even though most of his "predictions" have gone the way of the Mayan calendar.

The only one drinking anything around here is the flock that drinks the LPH kool-aid. That's the same rag that has East ranked in the Top 10. Now there's an alcohol problem. LOL

Anyone with any kind of hockey sense whatsoever could see this one coming.
3-1 is a "rout"? Well I guess if you predict a six goal margin and you need to save face, maybe it is.

There's a fine line between pride and support for your team, and uneducated, unjustified, and incredibly biased comments. D3 had some absurd comments on the hub page as well.

I'm just wondering if this means that D3 refs are even more biased than D6 refs? I wonder if his judgement is that bad while wearing strips?

More than just that. Constantly calling players from the team you are rooting against 'losers' on the hub page is immature, kind of bizarre, and childish. I'll assume D3 is under 15 years of age. Any older and we may want to call a case worker

Yeah, obviously D3 is in high school or lower.

But, ignoring him, there has been some posts on this thread saying "Oh, Hill just under performed and didn't look good, and it wasn't a dominate win"

Come on guys, we all know these are just as ridiculous as D3's comments. You think there might be a reason Hill "under performed" Maybe its the stingy Wayzata D? They play the most team game in the state, block the most shots, don't have selfish or classless players.. They play a mature game in an immature league. Give them some credit eh?

I have no problem acknowledging the skill of Wayzata. I see them as being in the same tier with Hill, Edina, and Benilde, and of those four, I think one will be the state champion. However, I've seen Hill play enough this year to know when they play their best and when they don't, and last Saturday, they didn't play their best.

The Olympic sheet of ice provides an advantage for to Wayzata at all of their home games. They practice on it, and have more games on it, than any of their opponents I would argue. Wayzata deserved the win on Saturday. I'd be very excited to see these two teams meet again in March.

Wayzata is, in my honest opinion, the biggest threat to Hill to win state this year. A very strong defensive team, good goalie, and they've got a good first line that can score. Hill's offense has not had near the fire power that they've had in previous years and if they keep allowing 3 or 4 goals, it could be trouble for the Pioneers.
