YHH: MLK Monday Championship Games

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

Four new champs were crowned in Bloomington and Duluth. Huge surprises in Duluth...well at least for me anyway (haha).

Enjoy,

Carter Batchelder should be playing A for EP. He was hurt during tryouts and because he played MNMade was disadvantaged by the Made haters on the EP Board.

Yes. #3 is a nice player and is probably playing at the wrong level. Not the first time and won't be the last.

What I liked about his game, was he was a multidimensional kid. He made great plays on both ends of the rink.

I have to agree, #3 is noticeable better then others on the ice. He plays both ends well and plays hard up or down during the game. No he's not my kid. No my kid is not on this team. Yes every year this happens. Though its mostly at the squirt level. EP has a few problems with the selection of what level every year. Is he a first year squirt though is what I want to know?

Wasn't playing for MNMade an auto pass to the A team? Shame on EP then.

Names really shouldn't be used here, but he IS a very
good player. I've seen him play as well.

He IS a first year squirt.

Yes it happens every year.

As I know it, he is a member of the "arch enemy"
of the Made...

Lastly, how about we move on to other GREAT Mon.
Championship games??

Since you asked I'll make a few notes. Note to other users and newbies, it is frowned upon to use names on this board. It is not my board, but I use the when in Rome rule here...

Rosemount v Prior Lake

Rosemount is a nice team..their 4 defenseman are so good, they rarely get their team in trouble. They really took it to PL in the first period out shooting them 16-5....after that the game settled down and PL hung with them. This team could go undefeated...and they'd be the first to admit that they aren't in the same class as the two previous Edina teams. But undefeated is undefeated and that is a special season no matter what.

U12

Farmington got the chance to play Edina the morning after they played 6 OTs the night before. Regardless of that they won and then they beat Shakopee 3 hours later..a feat rarely done in MN Hockey history. Defeating the #1 and #2 rated team in the same day to win the biggest tournament of the year (yes, even bigger than MNH "state" tournament). Their state Tourney will feature 8 teams...with likely 4-5 top ten teams. Duluth had 24 teams with 9 out of the top 10 involved...kudos to Dultuh for attracting these great teams and a great tournament.

The Edina U10 Green was dubbed the other Edina team early in the season..they lost a lot of games early in the season. Winning Duluth...going 4-0-1 in five games is great for their team as they head into the final 6 weeks.

Duluth truly does a great job running this tournament. However, what has happened to the DECC? The place should be razed.

Really it is squirts and if you did not have a care of concern in the world why would you call him out by name and why do you care???? Is not the thread for it and you bring that up..
back to the topic. Rosemount best squirt a team and Ep did a heck of a job in this tourney..
U12A Kudos to Farmington.. I however think Edina is still #1..
