While the Cadets did beat the Eagles twice last season, both were 1 goal games, with the section final being an OT game. The section final two years ago was also a 2 goal win by the Cadets.
The result of Tuesday's game will likely determine the top seed in section 4A and I doubt anyone would be surprised to see either team win.

If you could bottle TGs frustration from last year's section, and give it to the Roos before the game -- they might have a slim chance. Chronically under-rated, it's a shame that TJ Roo won't be around next year when TG steps into the breech and goes to state A tournament pretty much uncontested.
This year though, STA's sophomores, who were not a factor last year, are probably not stoppable by TG's second line. And if TG's third line sees any ice, it probably won't be outside of their own zone at all.
I'm afraid this will be a blow out, but I'm hoping TG shows some heart.
4-1 (ENG) -- St. Thomas win.

Shinbone...You almost hit the score right on. Cadets are way more deeper than Totino. Maybe other viewers saw it differently than I did, but Totino's top line could not even get anything going. At times I thought Cadets 2nd line was more of a factor in the game vs. Totino's 1st line. Not taking anything away from them, but they just wanted it more than the Eagles. Shots were not even close 40+ to 15. Will the section final be any different? Really doubt it, if St. Thomas stays healthy and injury free.Shinbone_News wrote:If you could bottle TGs frustration from last year's section, and give it to the Roos before the game -- they might have a slim chance. TG's lack of quality teams on their schedule has caught up to them, and even though they played their backup goalie STA dominated every aspect of the game. I'm sure it will be a different story if they both make it to the section final...STA be careful what you wish for as they learned last year ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs (remember Holy Cross?!).
